 Welcome to Reserved and Waiting!!!

me

Hi, I am so glad you are here. My name is Crisi, the author and creator of Reserved and Waiting.

Are your struggles pulling you down? Leaving you with the feeling that you are walking this path alone. Are you looking for encouragement or inspiration in this craziness we call life? Then you will feel right at home. So grab a cup of your favorite drink and lets visit for a while.  Oh how many times in the past have I poured my heart out to someone who has gone through something I was going through. The encouragement has been priceless especially when that wisdom has taught me something more about my Lord. For the past 30 plus years I have been walking a journey of faith. I am here to encourage you to see your everyday life from a different view. That view is from using the eyes of your heart. Encouraging you to seek and see how God is displaying Himself in your daily craziness. Your voice is always welcomed and I would love to hear from you.

How This Blog Got It’s Name

After praying over the names for this blog for sometime, nothing seemed right. in the mean time I was doing a study in Colossians and there it was plain as day in the passage, Reserved and Waiting (Colossians 1:9 AMP).  What does reserved and waiting mean to you? To me, it has a double meaning. First, When I prayed the sinner’s prayer, I admitted to God that I was a sinner and I asked Him to forgive me and be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe that He died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the  third day. One day I will leave this earthly home and live with Him in heaven. At that point in my life, I became reserved by God. For the past 30 plus years I have been learning and growing my relationship with Him, waiting to go to heaven.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3 (NKJV)

Second, As I have been growing in my relationship. I try to live my life as He directs me through His living word the Bible. By living my life in His ways, I am rewarded here on earth plus I have rewards and treasures in heaven reserved and waiting.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1Peter 1:3-5 (NKJV)

Dearest Sister in Christ, these promises hold true for you as well.

A Little About Me

2011

My life is a blessed craziness (working outside of the home, carpooling, keeper of the home and much much more) that is woven by my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord. I am married to my best friend, been blessed with two beautiful step daughters who have started their own families and we have an amazing son in school. As a Child of God, I passionately pursue my God through regular Bible study and prayer. For ten years, I had worked in children’s ministry. I am a Vacation Bible School (VBS) junkie, teaching young hearts about God’s love for them has been my honor and allowed me to use the gifts God has enriched me with. For one year, I was the VBS Director. Yes, I was the crazy VBS lady that you run away from in church.  More times than I would like, I stumble but I try to live my life with the characteristics God has implanted within my being.

“for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also is offspring.'” Acts 17:28

Ten more things about me.

So lets walk together on this journey of faith and find the ways God is displaying Himself in our lives.

Are you ready to begin?

In His Love, Crisi
