Have you ever found yourself out of balance with life?
For weeks, I have been pouring my time into educating myself about my business, taking pleasure in spend time with my Lord, learning and growing more in Him. I have a family to take care of and actually be present mentally and physically. Also let me not forget to mention, May is our busiest month for celebrations and the list goes on and on…. I keep saying to myself that there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish what I want to get done. Then I begin asking myself questions that makes it seem like I am spending more time spinning my wheels than actually getting things done. Does all this sound like you? I am sure I am not alone here. We all have a list that we go by whether written on paper or listed in our mind. So how do we find our balance?
Well I believe it begins with priorities. I try to make God top priority but more times than I would like to admit, I fall shamefully short. What are your priorities? What are your goals? Have you asked God if they fall in line with His plan? When I replay in my mind the moments of the past few weeks and ponder upon the lessons that I have studied in that time period. I got to thinking about the story of Abraham and Sarai that we just went over the other night. As I pondered upon it one thing stuck out to me in their story. God’s will/plan will be done no matter what! It was through Abraham’s bloodline that Jesus descended. No matter how we try to help God’s timing along, WE always mess things up when we pursue it on our own without God and must trust and wait in obedience to Him.
God did not put us here on earth to go it alone. NO! He gives us precious promises we can cling to and hold God true to in His word.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8 NIV
When we find ourselves in a place of not feeling balanced. Go to the One where you can find true guidance. Get into His Word and let yourself be teachable. Apply what He has and is instructing you. His counsel is from love and faithfulness towards us. By trusting and being obedient to Him the balance will come from Him filling us with gladness, joy, peace and blessings.
In His Love, Crisi
