The view from the eyes of my heart should always be thankful and full of thanksgiving. I am here to share those thanksgivings for all that God does for me. I have found that when I am focused on what I am thankful for life’s irritations do not get the attention they desire. So here is what I would like to share with you today.
The day had arrived and all the planning had been done. At the back of the church, I stood with butterflies in my stomach, sweaty palms and a happy heart. My dad walked me down the aisle, with all the oohs and aahs that came with this celebration. After a short forty-five minute ceremony my life changed forever. Not only did I say “I do” to my husband that day, I also said “I do” to two young girls. I didn’t know what the future held. All I knew was that I loved them all. As the years have gone by, I have been blessed by watching them grow into two beautiful young women. The view from my heart for these two ladies is this.
The day that I married your father. Is the day that I took you into my heart. I never wanted to be a replacement because there is only one who holds that part. I just wanted to love you as though you were my own, but before I even realized it a relationship had grown. I am forever grateful and will always cherish you. The memories we have made together will always be etched into my heart. I want to tell you one more thing, I am overwhelmed with love for you and I am proud of who you are.
In His Love, Crisi
I love this one Crissy on step children. Having 5 grown step children I can so relate to this. This is so beautifully written from your heart. I am loving your web site. Keep up the good work.
