The automatic doors slide open, welcoming you to displays of plants, flowers and purses. As I walk towards the back the displays sparkle with the latest must haves in beauty. A sign of relief welcomes the silence of early morning. As the day progresses the customers come in one by one. Most are smiling with sale items in hand. This one particular day, the line was starting to grow, the lady at the register was struggling through the maze of questions from the pin pad machine. Behind her was a lady with some food items, and behind her was another lady juggling three-bottles of water, looking around frantically and pacing side to side. The lady in front of her had noticed and allowed her to shop ahead. Relief swept over her face and accepted with explanation. “My husband is in the car bleeding, the kids are screaming for water and I need to get him to thee medical clinic.” Without further delay she was out the door. As the lady with the food items loaded up the counter she replied “You never know what someone is going through.” I replied “yes, that is so true. Thank you for letting her go ahead of you.”
You see, God displayed Himself through this act of kindness. What a wonderful way of God’s love being shown. What a great reminder that it could be worst then a few changes made yo my daily routine. Thank you Father for this view, and thank you Lord for using that as a reminder throughout the week. You never know what somebody else is going through.
