The pain was unbearable, the heartbreak had numbed the senses, her thoughts were on how to just survive. A faceless form lost in the crowd. Only to be seen by few. Longing to know that she mattered. Not just to her Lord but by those whom she loved. Those that she loved as family, as friends. Longing for encouragement, comfort, companionship and celebrations. Her life had become filled with activity, stretching it beyond what was realistic, beyond what could be attainable. The wear and tear began to show in absent-mindedness. The cracks began to appear in the lack of energy and the mounds of unfinished projects. The breaking point came from a simple request. A request that was met with an eruption of emotions. As she was pouring out her soul, her desires, her disappointments, her struggles to the one who had made the request. The requestor was blindsided and taken back by all that had just happened, then offered up words of comfort, and encouragement to her and with that came the embrace she had been longing for. One portion of her had been soothed, yet there was more that was in need. Feeling the agony within her that was wanting to demean her, as she strived to do her best in her life’s work. She knew, she had to ask the hard question. In prayer she bowed her head, asking for strength and courage, asking that the words spoken would be the ones He directed to spill from her lips. In complete confidence in her Lord, she spoke to the one that she needed to. In this conversation, she gain insight and knowledge. She discovered that the agony within her was wrong and all was fine in that relationship.
Dear heart, there is so much to learn and unless you seek the answers, you will never learn, you will never grow. Your feelings of worthlessness, of hurt, of being used, of being forgotten will hold you down into a pit of hopelessness and despair. This pit is not who you truly are. You are so much more. You are a child of God, royalty. You need to straighten that crown and dig into the Word. Ask God with bold confidence in Him and receive His response with an open heart. He loves you, He knows you, He wants you to cast your cares upon His feet.
Dear sweet heavenly Father, I humbly come before you Lord broken, battered and bruised. Knowing that You alone are my only source for healing. I thank you Father for all that you have done in my life. I ask that as I seek to know You more, that I would fall deeper and deeper into your safe and loving arms. As I grow my knowledge of You, grant me godly wisdom for each and every step I take. In Your sweet and precious name, I pray, amen.
