““For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.” Isaiah 55:8 NIV
After pausing from my housework I sat down and looked up this verse, reading the verses before and that had followed. I thought to myself, well I realize that but I don’t understand how all the verses together have to do with what is going on. So I put my Bible down and went back to cleaning. While I was sweeping the floor my thoughts were recalling all that I have been reading on Facebook. Then like a light bulb moment as I was sweeping the weeks worth of dog hair and dirt into the dust pan it hit me it’s a matter of the heart. We use our homes daily, coming, going and living in it making it dirty but we have to clean it to be able to live in it they way we like. If we don’t the dirt will just pile up and get worst. This makes the cleaning process something more than we really want to deal with but at some point we have to deal with it. Because if it keeps building up for far to long our house will affect our health and our way of living plus it will take A LOT of hard work to get it clean again. The same remains true with our heart. We use it on a daily basis sometimes making it dirty with hate, bitterness ect. But there is a way to clean it. Take it to God and allow Him to stay in your heart. They may take God out of public places but they CANNOT take God out of the heart of those who are in those public places and they can take Christ out of Christmas but they CANNOT take God out of my heart.
