You keep pushing, you keep planning, you continuously keep praying. Yet, you feel as though your life is in a holding pattern. But is it really? I got reminded about a post from two years ago and then another article appeared that spoke on the same theme. Usually when this happens, God is speaking to me and I know I need to be paying attention. While life may seem to be in a holding pattern, it actually is not. Life is still happening, activities are going on, things are being arranged. We are just waiting for the clearance to take off. However, before we get the it’s all clear, let examine what is going on.
God’s plan
First off, seeking God’s plan is what we should do. Yet most times, it’s not.
Learning Contentment
This one can be a tough one when we do not do it intentionally. Yes, intentionally! You may have hopes for a better job, dreams for a better future. I get that, I do as well. You may be going through something really hard, like your health, financial struggles, marital problems, family struggles. I get that as well, I promise your not alone. However, our mindset needs to be changed towards learning to be content no matter what the circumstances. This is one of those lessons where we continually seek out God and be grateful for where we are at, appreciate all that God has done and actively listening, continually looking for God’s affirmations.
Trusting God
In full confidence, and eagerly awaiting, our trust must be in Him, in His plan and His timing, no matter how long it may feel. Sometimes the wait can be days, other times it may be years, yet no matter how long it is, I can assure you, it will be good and it will bring glory and honor to God. We must wholeheartedly put our trust in Him, after we have seek Him, learned to be content and obey His instructions.
Obey God
Yes, obedience is required.
Dear one, what feels like a holding pattern, is really a process of preparations for the all is clear to fly. The preparations are where God works in our lives, equips us for what is ahead and builds our relationship with Him.
Dear heavenly Father, thank you so much for your faithfulness. For growing my relationship with You, while seeking Your guidance. All while I am learning contentment in my circumstances, by trusting You and obeying You. I know You know my heart and my thoughts, and Lord my prayer is that I bring glory to You and honor to You, in all my ways, please let them be Your ways. In Your sweet and precious Name I pray, Amen
In His Love, Crisi
