It’s always good to get away. A time to explore not only the land but explore your thought, your feelings and your life. I have never been a fan of road trips but when I get closer to our destination something inside me explodes with excitement. The formation of the landscape changes to a grand welcome. This happened recently, the dreaded road trip to the mountains with my family. I popped in my ear buds, loaded an audio book and away we headed up the road. I was captivated by the book I was listening to and before I knew it I had more book to listen to than I had a road to travel. Even though it was a fiction, it sort of set the tone for the adventures ahead.
There was a sweat smell of clover in the crisp morning air as I bundled up with my coffee. There is something wonderful about being out in the middle of nowhere, on top of a mountain. This one morning I was blessed and reminded of God’s greatness. A humming-bird stopped and hover an arm’s length away from me. As if to look me over, then flew away. It was a glorious way for God to display Himself at the start of my day.
When was the last time you stopped and looked for His displays?
