Welcome To 2015!!!
“This is what the Lord says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NIV
The old saying goes something like “Out with the old and In with new”. I am not one for making new years resolutions and again this year, I will not be breaking that habit. I will however be looking at the new year in a different way. It will be out with the old way of thinking and in with a new way of seeing. In just a few short weeks, the group of ladies/sisters I met with will be learning more about our God. Our church teaser for our upcoming sermons by our pastor:
“the future is a gift from God….destination is a choice. What is God’s purpose/vision/direction/destination for my life, for 1st PSL? Starting January 4th @ 1st PSL…Destination HD. Don’t settle for someone else’s movie trailer when the story can be yours in High Definition!”
This is a wonderful year to be extraordinary in God. I have a feeling I will be seeing God do a new thing in my life and in yours, if we will choose God’s way. I invite you this year to develop a deeper and richer relationship with God as in the verse above says “do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Happy New Year,
In His Love, Crisi
I have been spending a lot of time in Isaiah lately and then I came across your blog post today with this scripture in it: “This is what the Lord says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NIV.
How God blesses us with timeless reminders!
It can be hard to acknowledge when you feel you’re in the wilderness or wasteland. But God hears that and goes beyond it to encourage us by giving us Jesus Christ – he is our living water and our way!
Thank you for this post!
Amen, Julie!!! He is always faithful at reminding us of His truths. Thank you for sharing 🙂
I enjoyed this post. Having a hard end to the year and a hard beginning it’s sometimes hard to put this into perspective. However, we all know who is in control and that He can perform things we never even would see as an option. We know that his ways are way better than our own. I think I need to spend some time pondering this and making sure the choices I make are God’s and not my own. Thanks for this reminder. Blessings, Tina
I have been there more times than I would like to have been, so I can so relate to what you are saying. Yes!! He can perform things that we never saw as an option and that is so exciting to see once we realize what He has done. Prayers for you and His blessings upon you.
